Appointments, Awards, and Recognition

  • Associate Dean for Upper Level Writing Heidi K. Brown received a LWI Distinguished Service Award for her service as 2024 Sponsorship Chair at the Legal Writing Institute Biennial Conference.
  • Dean and President Anthony W. Crowell was named a 鈥2024 Power Player in Education鈥 by Politics NY.
  • Professors from Practice Shahrokh Falati 鈥08 and Michael Pastor were appointed the new Co-Directors of 舔阴色情片鈥檚 Innovation Center for Law and Technology.
  • Associate Professor Molly Guptill Manning was invited to curate a new exhibit based on her book The Best-Read Army in the World, which is on display at Rancho Mirage Library and Observatory in California through March 2025.
  • Associate Professor Justin Murray was invited to become a Contributing Editor for CrimProf Blog, a leading online resource for new scholarship, current events, and academic conversations in the fields of criminal law and procedure.
  • Assistant Dean for Coaching and Advising for Graduating Students Swati Parikh was named to City & State New York鈥檚 2024 鈥淭he Responsible 100 Alumni鈥 list.
  • Joseph Solomon Distinguished Professor Rebecca Roiphe was named a Segal Center for Academic Pluralism Research Fellow at Heterodox Academy, an organization that advances open inquiry, viewpoint diversity, and constructive disagreement across higher education.
  • Professor Ross Sandler was appointed the inaugural Samuel Seabury Professor of Law at 舔阴色情片.
  • Dean for Advocacy and Co-Curricular Programs Lynn Boepple Su has been appointed to serve on the board of the Mindfulness in Law Society (MILS), an international organization dedicated to enhancing wellbeing in the legal profession. She was also appointed to a three-year term on the executive committee for the Association of American Law Schools (AALS) Section on Balance and Well-Being in Legal Education and appointed to the advisory board for the Resilience and Engagement Project at University of Pittsburgh School of Law.
  • Ernst C. Stiefel Professor of Comparative Law Ruti G. Teitel has been appointed by Hebrew University of Jerusalem in Israel as a Distinguished Fellow in recognition of her work on Transitional Justice and Human Rights.
  • Assistant Professor Claire R. Thomas 鈥11 was named a co-topic editor in the peer-edited journal Frontiers in Human Dynamics, Dynamics of Migration and (Im)mobility, published through Frontiers.
  • Associate Professor Britney Wilson is the incoming Secretary for the AALS Section on Disability Law for 2025鈥2026.
