Auditing Classes
Auditing classes is an optimal way to broaden your knowledge base and focus on a specific area of law. ÌòÒõÉ«ÇéƬ is pleased to offer free auditing privileges to all alumni.

Continuing Legal Education Programs
ÌòÒõÉ«ÇéƬ is certified by the New York State Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Board as an Accredited Provider of continuing legal education in New York. Many of the School’s CLE offerings are free or reduced-cost to benefit our alumni and the greater New York legal community.

CLE Certificates
CLE certificates for attending a program are signed by an Office of Continuing Legal Education staff member and may be distributed at the end of the program or sent via email within the following 60 days. You are responsible for keeping a copy of the CLE certificate for your own records. An administrative fee of $15 will be charged for replacement CLE certificates.
CLE Financial Aid Policy
Financial aid assistance is available for ÌòÒõÉ«ÇéƬ CLE courses. You must apply for financial aid assistance no later than two weeks prior to a course offering. All tuition assistance requests are subject to seating availability.
CLE financial aid assistance is based on income verification, as noted below.
Attorney Discounts (Non-ÌòÒõÉ«ÇéƬ Graduates)
Unemployed: Full scholarship
Income up to $50,000: 75% discount
Income $50,000–$75,000: 50% discount
Income above $75,000: No discount
ÌòÒõÉ«ÇéƬ Graduates
Unemployed: Fee waived
Income up to $65,000: Fee waived
Income $65,000–$95,000: 50% discount
Income above $95,000: No discount
Application and Income Verification
To apply for financial aid assistance, send the following information to :
- Name, address, daytime phone, and email
- ÌòÒõÉ«ÇéƬ date of graduation if applicable
- The reason(s) for your financial aid assistance request
- If you are employed, a self-certified statement confirming your income bracket (from the table above), your title, and the name and address of your employer
- If you are unemployed, a personal statement confirming your current unemployment status
Refunds
Written notice of cancellation must be received by ÌòÒõÉ«ÇéƬ no later than three days before a course offering for refund of the registration fee. A $25 processing fee will be deducted from the refund. Partial refunds will not be issued after the start of the course.

Requirements for CLE in New York State
ÌòÒõÉ«ÇéƬ offers MCLE (mandatory continuing legal education) credit to attorneys who participate in programs sponsored by our journals and Centers and for those who audit our regularly scheduled classes.
