Keeping Campus Safe and Healthy
Spring 2024
Vaccine and Booster Requirements for Community Members and Visitors
Effective May 20, 2023, 舔阴色情片 is suspending previous requirements that all community members and campus visitors be vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19. We strongly recommend, however, that all community members and visitors who are eligible for the initial COVID-19 vaccine doses and boosters receive them. We emphasize the importance of those who are eligible receiving the most up-to-date booster to reduce the likelihood of infection, and the severity of symptoms for those who do become infected.
Campus Access
Everyone is expected to self-monitor their health for any COVID-19-like symptoms and possible exposure to COVID-19 on a continuous basis and before traveling to campus. Community members and visitors should not come to campus if they have tested positive for COVID-19, whether they have symptoms (are 鈥渟ymptomatic鈥) or not (are 鈥渁symptomatic鈥).
Students and bar studiers should continue to report diagnoses, symptoms, or exposure to COVID-19 to Assistant Dean of Students Shani Darby and Chief Compliance Office Michael Siller, and faculty and staff should continue to report such diagnoses, symptoms, or exposure to Jody Pariante, Vice President for Human Resources. Contractor and tenant organization personnel should report diagnoses, symptoms, or exposure to their supervisor, who in turn should report them to Jody Pariante. Visitors should report diagnoses, symptoms, or exposure to Paul Repetto, Vice President of Facilities and Building Operations.
As of March 1, 2023, facemasks are no longer required in classrooms and other places where they currently are mandated. However, individual professors may require the use of facemasks in their classrooms, and if they do, students must comply with these requests. Use of facemasks is encouraged generally, and particularly for community members who are at heightened risk for COVID-19 infection.
CARES Act Emergency Student Relief Fund and Disclosures
Through the U.S. Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, institutions of higher education became eligible for funds to aid students and support operations during this highly challenging time. The U.S. Department of Education allocated a specific amount to each institution pursuant to a formula.
Students may apply for emergency aid grants made possible by the CARES Act by contacting the Office of Student Financial Services at financialaid@nyls.edu听or 212.431.2828.
Grants will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis after application approval until funds are exhausted. Grants are intended to reimburse students for specific and documented expenses related to the COVID-19 pandemic. All students are eligible to apply for funds, whether or not they completed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application.
These categories are eligible for reimbursement:
